Cashmere News Diary: 4 July 2014 - Cashmere winter & preparedness

* 5 July, Saturday to next week - delivery help needed with Cashmere Newsletter - small runs near home. Please phone Leona on 337-2051.

* 13 July, Sunday 2pm-4.30pm - Cashmere Mid-Winter Gathering, at Kaizuka Cafe - Cashmere emergency response and natural hazards seminar - mass land movement, flood effects, neighbourhood support etc. Kaizuka is at east end of Centaurus Road shops. Thank you Aaron and staff for operating premises as an important local community hub. All welcome.

* 16 July, Wednesday 7.30pm - Cashmere Residents' Association committee meeting, all input welcome - contact CRA Chair.

* 29 July, Tuesday 7.30pm - Barrington Issues Group - at St Nicholas Anglican Church Hall: public passenger transport interchange for the Mall, pedestrian safety, District Plan changes, urban densification, rising flood and contamination risks etc; for Spreydon residents' assn. All welcome.

* 30 July, Wednesday 1.30pm CREST - Cashmere Residents' Emergency Support Team - our local preparedness group meets, at Cashmere Presb. Church this month - last Wednesday of each month except December. Local volunteer skills and resources inter-network. We have a draft plan. All input welcome.

* Church House Garage, a single at MacMillan Avenue available for storage. Currently let at $50 per week. Enquiries to Richard at richllike@gmail.com
